"SmallStuff3" show review

Sunday was the group art show at Bear&Bird Gallery. It was during the day and brunch was included. I stopped in for a quick hello and checked out the tiny pieces on display. I snagged a few pics off the Bear&Bird Flickr site.

"Small Stuff3" Art Show

"Small Stuff 3" an art show at Bear & Bird Gallery in Lauderhill, FL.

I have 3 new paintings showing at Bear & Bird Gallery's opening tomorrow. The work being shown is all less then 10x8in in size and priced to sell. Over 50 amazing artists will be on display. Be sure to check it out on Sunday or anytime during December. Click on flyer for more information.

Burrito Mural...

Right after my solo show was finished up. I had to paint a mural for Burrito Works in St. Augustine, FL. The mural was done on 2 panels & painted in just over 14 hours. I made a quick time lapse of the piece. Enjoy...

"Above & Below" my solo show turned out great. People came, sold some work, & hung out with old friends. I took a few pictures of the set up of the show.

Studio Update

In the studio non-stop lately. I've got several shows coming up. I've been really busy trying to produce NEW work. Above are several flyers for shows all around Florida. Introducing "Above & Below"

I have been working on a lot of new work in preperation for my "Above & Below" show coming up in November. New work no one has seen yet is the key. Visual eye candy be provided as I take over the entire space.

I have so much in store for this show and have been putting in a lot of time & effort for this show.

Tommy Tant 2009

Very eventful week & record degree heat!
This year's new art idea to raise more money using skate decks was a huge success! Sold a total of 30 hand painted skateboards. It was a challenge to make a mural that looked decent when together yet still looked good when bought in sections. Austin Blasingame and myself painted Part of the day Saturday & all day Sunday to get these boards done.

Saturday's painting session got rained out in the afternoon. We also just weren't hitting the right brush strokes and enjoying what we were painting. But Sunday came with a very early start and it started to come together. We got so much feed back and love this year for the skate decks. We also had 75 hand painted Flexfit hats painted but several different artists including my dad who came out and helped paint hats live during both days. The sale of the decks & the hats raised a good deal on money that went straight to the food bank of Flagler County to feed those in need.

A ton of friends came out and supported the event. Austin & I even did an interview for FUEL TV. That night we jammed out to Braddigan, Josh Garrells, & Jesse Hines. I even got a little free style action in on the stage. The next few days were followed by a full day of creative discussions with some amazing friends for all around the world. Over all still one of my favorite events all year and it takes place right in my hometown.

Candy Apples & Razor Blades art show

Thanks to all you who stopped by Hollingsworth Gallery for the "Fright Nite" art show this past weekend. This weekend, Oct 17, I will be showing a piece at the Bear&Bird Gallery in Lauderhill, FL. Stop by and check out all the halloween inspired work. So much art will be on display, should be a great and creepy time for all.

Just finished up a new piece for "The Art of Fright" show. I will be painting live at the Tommy Tant that entire weekend so I won't be able to make the opening. But be sure to stop by sometime and check out the frightful art being showcased at Hollingsworth Gallery - Oct 10th 6-9pm (Show will be up for a month.)
